Olivier Nadeau, the Shawinigan Cataractes’ top scorer last season, won a three-year contract with the Buffalo Sabers on Sunday.

Nadeau, who was selected by the Sabers in the fourth round of the 2021 National Hockey League (NHL) draft, has a total of 35 goals and 78 points in 65 games in 2021-2022, a +21 difference.
He added two goals and four assists in six playoff games to help the Cataractes defeat the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Gatineau Olympiques. His team now has a date with the Quebec Remparts in the next playoff round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Nadeau is the fourth player of the 2021 vintage to tie with the Sabers, following Owen Power, Aleksandr Kisakov and Josh Bloom.
