Notes and inspiration for the new album
According to The Today Show, Harry’s attendance broke records on the show, which received approximately 50,000 ticket requests. Mighty yes! During the interview, the singeractor also answered questions from fans and revealed that “Boyfriends,” a song that’s almost a confession, was one of the most complicated tracks on the album, as it went through a few different versions before the final product.
“‘Boyfriends,’ I wrote towards the end of recording the last album [Fine Line]. And there was something that felt special,” Harry recalled. “We could have rushed to prepare it and it felt like there was something special about it and I wanted to take my time. I knew I would find my way to the album. That’s the way it should be and I love the music.”

The artist also reiterated that Harry’s House is his most diverse album to date, as it was inspired by different people in his life. “I feel like it’s a collection of all my favorite things and is very similar to the album I’ve always wanted to make, so I’m really happy,” Styles said. “I think for me it’s definitely the most personal album I’ve ever made. It was definitely the most intimate thing I’ve done,” he added.
Finally, Harry revealed that the production process was a bit unusual, which was reflected in the sound of the songs and his attitude towards the project. “Obviously the pandemic and everything kind of contributed to how it was done. It was done by a few people in a small room,” he said. “I think it’s the freest thing I’ve ever felt about making music… I’m very happy. It starts at midnight so I hope you enjoy it.”
Harry’s House is coming to digital platforms tomorrow, May 20th. To celebrate the release, Styles will perform a show on Long Island, New York, streaming live on Apple Music. It’s coming!
