Today is Chris Hemsworth’s 40th birthday and the celebrations started with a morning surf in Byron Bay.
Along with his brother Liam, 33, and fellow surfer Owen Wright, the Aussie superstar shared a laugh with his friends in the car park before heading to the beach.
The Marvel star’s boyfriend, Owen, appeared to give him a copy of his autobiography for the special occasion.
Then the boys stripped down and put on their wetsuits to train in the surf.
The Thor star sported a few facial lines and a sun-kissed tan as he fiddled with his surfboard in the parking lot.

Chris showed off his fit physique as he carried his surfboard to the water under his sculpted arm.
He sauntered along the beach with his wetsuit half off, showing off his big biceps and taut abs.
Not to be outdone, brother Liam also bared his chest as he donned his surf gear.
The Hemsworths and boyfriend enjoyed some invigorating surf to make the start of Chris’ fortieth year one to remember.

The A-lister stays in phenomenal shape by sticking to a rigorous exercise regimen and following a high-calorie diet.
Hemsworth really gets into it before a movie, as his longtime stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton, 37, recently testified that he put in a lot of physical preparation before taking on a role.
Chris pushed Bobby to the limit in the final Thor film, giving his stunt double just eight weeks to prepare for Thor: Love and Thunder.
In a recent interview with Ice36, Hanton detailed the grueling demands placed on him and said he told the star, “You’re kidding!”
Bobby had to gain almost 22 pounds of muscle and eat 4000 calories a day to turn into a convincing Thor.

“I ate up to 10 meals a day, two of which were protein shakes,” Bobby told Ice 36.
‘We [he and Chris] I worked out twice a day and never in my life did I think I would get sick of food and not want to eat because I love food.’
But the film industry veteran, who has worked with the Australian-born superstar for 15 years, says the training program has been a real test.
‘I hated it. “I ended up trying to give away food I was supposed to eat because I just didn’t want to eat it. It would almost make you nauseous because you were never, ever hungry,” he said.

Speaking about his preparation for Thor: Love & Thunder in the Marvel documentary Assembled, Hemsworth said “it was just exhausting.”
He called his transformation “particularly difficult,” adding, “I don’t know, maybe I’m getting old, but it just started to hurt more and more.”
In an interview with USA Today to promote the film last year, Chris revealed his lifestyle during the Covid lockdown: “It was exercise, eat, exercise, eat.” Nothing more to do. Then I showed up for the film bigger than ever.’
But his wife Elsa Pataky wasn’t thrilled with the extra muscle, as Chris called it “too much,” echoing the couple’s girlfriends: “There are a lot of my male friends who say, ‘Yes!'” But a lot of girlfriends and family members say, “Yuck.”
