The latter was able to be on the set of the series “Friends” several times over the years and asserts that Matthew Perry was a real “ray of sunshine” and always made sure that everyone in his presence felt comfortable during the performance.

“He was the best of all six at greeting, cracking a joke and saying a little word,” he said in an interview with LCN. If there was a day when Jennifer was in a bit of a bad mood or Courtney Cox was a bit late, Matthew Perry was always there to lighten the mood and make sure everyone had a smile.

Mr Arnaud remembers the first time he met the man who played “Chandler” on the hit series.

“When I first met Matthew, because he knew I was French and worked for various French-language media, he came up to me, patted me on the shoulder from behind and said ‘Hello French’ while trying to speak a slight Quebecois -Have an accent. he says.

“He didn’t speak French at all, but that gives you an idea of Matthew Perry’s character,” the journalist adds.

The actor was also very willing to face the challenges of his addiction issues.

“I can tell you that in one of my interviews I asked him about his weight gains, which often coincided with a skinny Matthew Perry when he was taking drugs, and that he had gained 10 kilos after a detox treatment, as he told me several times If he wasn’t there when I retired, it wouldn’t be surprising, and unfortunately that’s what’s happening today,” shares Mr. Arnaud.

Very few details are known about the circumstances of the actor’s death.

Although no drugs were found on site, this does not rule out the possibility that they could be medication, said the journalist.

“There are no unofficial medicines because we have found a whole range of medicines, including those for depression and chronic diseases,” he says.

“We are still waiting for the results of toxicology tests,” he added. But again, I know I’m exaggerating, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up learning that Matthew has various medications in his body and that perhaps that’s the reason for the discomfort in the hot tub. But I hope I’m wrong.”

Despite the numerous tributes from actors and personalities from the world of television and cinema since his death was announced, the five other main actors of “Friends” have still not reacted to the death of their colleague and friend.

Henry Arnaud believes that at some point they will publish a joint message.

“I definitely think they are discussing among themselves to convey a common message,” he said. I’ve been on set many times in all the Friends years, you could never meet one without meeting the other five.”
