In Portal images we can see this line of RVs driving quietly through this desert landscape.

One woman on the site mentioned in an interview: “There was a long line to get out. Some leave. These are mainly four-wheel drive vehicles.

On Friday, more than two months of rain fell in 24 hours, turning the desert into a puddle of mud.

“No one has ever seen such an effect,” a man present at the festival told the media.

Another “burner” – a nickname for festival-goers – wearing a cowboy hat explained that it was “simply impossible” to remove the RVs from the site after the rain episode.

“We’ll be well looked after until Wednesday and Thursday,” reassures this other man, who is filming his way through the campers.

Other images show festival-goers who risked crossing the desert with both feet in the mud.

One of the participants in this expedition was the popular DJ Diplo, who left the premises along with around twenty other people.
