ON VIDEO | Panic on Toronto subway after brutal attack

A violent altercation on the Toronto subway that terrorized public transit users on Thursday is under investigation by Queen City authorities.

The attack, which involved two people, was filmed by a witness, during which we can see a man in a white sweater being stabbed with a knife.

Startled, the stabbed man runs to the end of the car while the alleged suspect tries to catch up with him.

Dozens of panicked users decide to retreat from the crime scene by going to the other end of the trolley.

The attack occurred around 12 p.m. near the Eglinton station on the Toronto Transit Commission’s Line 1.

The suspect fled when he got to the station. He is actively wanted by the Toronto Police Department.

According to Global News, the suspect is said to be around 20 years old and 1.70 meters tall.

The victim, around 30 years old, was seriously injured and taken to hospital, but his life is no longer in danger.

The broad daylight altercation adds to the sense of insecurity on public transport in the metropolis, which has been grappling with a series of violent incidents on its network since the pandemic.
