The 26-year-old walked through the rain with the Stanley Cup almost a month after helping the Nevada side win the precious trophy for the first time in their young history.

The bad weather didn’t stop many fans from gathering near the Complexe sportif Desjardins to cheer on the hockey player.

“Honestly, it’s really something special. I’ve been imagining it every day since I won the trophy, but these are really beautiful moments that we’re experiencing there,” said Nicolas Roy.

His supporters also had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Quebec player and the Stanley Cup under a marquee.

The attacker also said he was particularly touched by the portion of love he received on Saturday.

“When I see Golden Knights jerseys everywhere, I always have a little smile on my face,” said Nicolas Roy.

“Of course, when I was younger I had role models, players whose path I wanted to follow. So it’s nice to see that there are young people who see themselves in me and want to achieve my career,” he added.
