A shocking video shows the moment five people were crushed when their sport utility vehicle (SUV) overturned during a dangerous stunt in Colorado.
The horrific accident that occurred at a Colorado Springs mall Saturday night was caught on camera. The sequence shows an SUV reversing at full speed in a parking lot, trying to form a semicircle around itself. The maneuver has been popularized in several films.
Even more dangerous was that several of the vehicle's passengers were sitting directly in the bay windows.
The video is particularly disturbing and aimed at an informed audience.
During the maneuver, the SUV overturned, rolling onto its side and crushing passengers who were not in their seats.
Members of the group suffered fatal injuries in the stunt, KKTV reported.
Passersby quickly rushed to help, but the person filming the incident warned the group not to turn the car over.
“No, there’s someone on the other side! There’s someone on the other side, don’t turn it over, don’t turn it over,” he warned.
All five people were taken to a local hospital. Her condition was initially unknown.
The suspected driver, identified by police as Marisol Wentling, was not seriously injured and was charged with reckless driving, according to the outlet.
She was released on bail. The incident remains under investigation
