A woman was killed and more than a dozen people were injured in a suspected attack near the Israeli coastal city of Tel Aviv on Monday. The 70-year-old woman died from her serious injuries, the local hospital said. According to the Magen David Adom emergency service, a total of 19 people were injured in Raanana. Israeli police initially put the number of injured at 13.
Two presumably Palestinian residents of the city of Hebron were reportedly arrested as suspects. They are said to have run over people with cars. According to paramedics, several people with stab wounds were also treated.
The security situation in Israel and the West Bank has deteriorated again since the start of the war in Gaza, following the Hamas massacre on October 7.
