On Thursday, the Royal Mail presented special stamps with various Christmas motifs, in the corner of which Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September, can be seen again in profile as a silhouette. According to the Correios Museum, this profile design has been used on commemorative stamps since 1967.

However, the queen is not only very present on stamps, but also coins and banknotes in everyday British life – and will remain so for years to come. Only gradually will the money be exchanged for new notes and coins with the profile of King Charles III. exchanged, since the end of October the first coins with a portrait of Charles have been in circulation.
