The 2023 vintage of Samsung soundbars turned out to be as good or even better than the 2022 vintage. At the start of the school year, the high-end Samsung HW-Q800C and HW-Q930C 2023 soundbars benefit from a nice reduction of 300 euros each. We explain how you benefit from it.

In just a few years, Samsung has built an excellent reputation in the world of soundbars. Last year, the Korean manufacturer hit the jackpot with the Samsung HW-S800B, a very compact soundbar with impressive performance.
This year, Samsung has further improved its formula with the Samsung HW-Q800C (which received a score of 9/10 in the Frandroid columns) and its even more premium version, the 2023 Samsung HW-Q930C.
Until October 2nd, these two soundbars benefit from a deferred refund offer (ODR) of 100 and 200 euros respectively, which is in addition to the already very generous immediate discounts. Here’s what you should remember:
- For the Samsung HW-Q800C, which is normally priced at 799 euros, there is an immediate discount of 200 euros and an ODR of 100 euros. The price therefore increases to 499 euros, which corresponds to a reduction of more than 35%.
- For the Samsung HW-Q930C 2023, which is normally priced at 999 euros, there is an immediate discount of 100 euros and an ODR of 200 euros. The price therefore increases to 699 euros, which corresponds to a reduction of around 30%.
Samsung Q series HW-Q800C 2023: balanced, powerful and compact
At under 500 euros until the beginning of October, the Samsung Q series HW-Q800C undoubtedly offers the best price-performance ratio for a Samsung soundbar. Frandroid praised the audio quality of the device in its test: “Its sound signature is balanced and it can play very loudly without breaking down,” it concluded, right next to it with a nice 9/10.

The sound is not the only one of its qualities. Samsung’s real achievement is that it has managed to achieve such sound accuracy from such a compact device. In fact, the HW-Q800C is 1.10 meters long, 6 cm high and 12 cm deep. In other words, she knows how to be very discreet under a screen. And for those who have hung their TV on the wall, there is a mounting kit and screws for hanging.
This compactness is all the more remarkable since the soundbar houses a total of 11 speakers for playback of 5.1.2 channels. Note that there are 5 channels for horizontal spatiality, 2 for vertical spatiality and a final one for bass. It is this spatialization that creates the impression that the sound surrounds the viewer when faced with it. It is obviously Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible.
The HW-Q800C has also been designed to match Samsung’s (excellent) TVs. It features Q-Symphony 3.0 technology, which allows the speakers of Samsung’s QLED, NEO QLED and OLED TVs to be synchronized with those of the soundbar to further enhance immersion.
To all this, Samsung has added a lot of very practical features: Chromecast integration, AirPlay 2.0 support, the ability to very finely control the soundbar via the Samsung SmartThings application, integration of SpaceFit Sound technology to adapt the sound to the layout of the room or even Support for HDMI eARC to enjoy the soundbar with a console or Blu-Ray player. And to make matters worse, the packaging comes with a remote control.
Launched in April 2023 at a price of 799 euros, the Samsung HW-Q800C currently benefits from an immediate discount of 200 euros, to which an additional discount of 100 euros is added via an ODR. Samsung Q series HW-Q930C 2023: even greater sound experience
If you think the HW-Q800C is not complete enough, you should choose the HW-Q930C. This soundbar is identical to the HW-Q800C in almost every way, except that it has two additional wireless rear speakers and two additional transducers in the soundbar.

This is a significant difference as we are moving from 5.1.2 channel playback to 9.1.4 channels. The two rear speakers actually add two additional channels of vertical spatiality, and the two additional transducers add two additional channels of vertical spatiality. A new milestone has been reached in terms of sound immersion.
Both soundbars have a very practical remote control.
Above all, the HW-Q930C has the same connectivity options and features as the HW-Q800C. If you own a high-end Samsung TV from 2022 or 2023, you can enjoy Dolby Atmos sound wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Likewise, this speaker is compatible with AirPlay 2.0, supports Chromecast streaming and has full connectivity (optical input, two HDMI). eARC sockets, USB port).
With a 100 euro immediate discount and 200 euro ODR, the HW-Q930C soundbar currently only costs 699 euros. A nice 30% reduction compared to the introductory price, which was 999 euros last April. This soundbar is also available from Boulanger, Fnac and Darty.
