This Sunday afternoon (3), a man was arrested in connection with an attack in which the bassist of the band Ultraje a Rigor, Rinaldo Oliveira Amaral, better known as Mingau, was shot in the head in Paraty (RJ).
An anonymous tip revealed the whereabouts of one of the shooters. Civil and military police immediately went to a house in the Ilha das Cobras neighborhood, where the crime also occurred (see below).

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a notebook in the apartment as well as a large amount of drugs, weapons and ammunition.
The man was taken to the police station and is in custody.
In a statement to plainclothes police, the friend who was in the vehicle said they had withdrawn money from the bank and were going to have a snack when they were attacked.
The passenger said he ducked to protect himself from the shots, but noticed Mingau fell on his side shortly after the first shots. The car then lost control and crashed into the gate of a house.
The musician’s friend further explained that as soon as he touched Rinaldo, he saw that he was hit in the head.
Bassist is transferred to São Paulo
Mingau was rescued by a fire department team and taken to the Hugo Miranda municipal hospital. His health condition is stable. However, since the health center does not have a neurosurgeon who could carry out the operation to remove the bullet, he was transferred this morning to a private hospital in the south zone of São Paulo.
The transfer took place around 12 p.m. with a fire department helicopter that has a mobile intensive care unit.

“When they saw this car coming, a dark pickup truck, they may have been confused and fired the shot that ultimately hit this member of the band Ultraje a Rigor,” Marcello explained.
Civilian police also reported that officers continued their efforts Sunday afternoon to identify and locate the other people involved in the attempted murder.
