Michigan police have launched a manhunt after at least one person was shot dead during a high school graduation.
Gunshots were fired at East Kentwood High School Thursday night during a grand opening ceremony for the district’s alternative school, Crossroads. The suspects immediately fled the scene and remained at large.
At least one person was hit in the shooting. Her condition is unknown.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office said 60 students and their families attended Thursday night’s graduation ceremony. Visitors could leave immediately after filming.
The shooting comes just a day after gunshots rang out after a high school graduation in Tennessee, killing one teenager and wounding another.
