One year after his terrible accident, Jeremy Renner pays tribute to his daughter: “The main reason for my recovery is her” – Le Journal de Montréal

A year after his horrific accident, actor Jeremy Renner paid tribute to his daughter in a message on his Instagram account.

“The main reason for my recovery is her. “I asked her to wait for me when I saw her on January 14th after my accident,” the 52-year-old actor wrote in an emotional and grateful message to his now 10-year-old daughter Ava Berlin.

Jeremy Renner was run over by his own snowplow and was hospitalized for many weeks with blunt chest injuries and orthopedic injuries. He later revealed that he had broken more than thirty bones in the accident.

After spending 2023 getting back on his feet, the star is returning to his work in the television series Mayor of Kingstown, in which he co-starred, a year after his accident. The Avengers actor has been recovering since he was hit by a snowcat near his home in Nevada on January 1, 2023.

Now Jeremy Renner feels ready to return to the film set. The actor confirmed that he will be working on the third season of his series starting this week. “It was a wonderfully busy year. I think I'm ready and strong enough. I'm going back in literally a week,” he told Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper during an interview on their CNN New Year's Eve special on Sunday, December 31.

Full of energy, the actor briefly returned to the spotlight in April to promote his Disney+ series Rennerations, but has mostly focused on his recovery. Jeremy Renner, who is also a musician, celebrated the anniversary of his accident by releasing his single Wait on New Year's Day. He described the song as “a diary,” “a testimony to that healing,” and called the process of creating music “cathartic and healing.”

Jeremy Renner will release Love and Titanium in January, a reference to the metal used to rebuild his broken limbs in the accident, an album inspired by his long and painful recovery. The one who played the superhero Hawkeye in Disney's Marvel series also confided in the show's hosts his feelings after the ordeal he went through. “I am so blessed to have been able to experience so much. I have a large family, a 10 year old daughter. I would have disappointed and ruined many people's lives if I had died. There are many things I have to fight for… For me, healing is a two-way street. I continue to work hard every day,” he said.
