The latest version of OxygenOS 13, OnePlus’ Android 13-based UI, has issues with OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. Some smartphones won’t turn on at all: if you have one, don’t install the update.

OxygenOS 13 version F.19 causes problems on OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, as reported by XDA Developers: Some users can no longer start their OnePlus smartphone. In the OnePlus community forum, Winkey W. from the software development team does indeed warn other members.
OnePlus has rolled out a fatal OxygenOS 13 update
In mid-November, OxygenOS 13 arrived on OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9, 8 Pro and 8T. This is the latest version of the OnePlus interface, based on Android 13 and bringing its share of updates. In recent weeks, the brand has multiplied updates, fixed bugs and added security improvements.

On January 31, Winkey W., a member of OnePlus’ software department, posted a topic on the brand’s forum advising against installing version F.19 of OxygenOS 13. He says his team has started deploying this version on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. However, she was unemployed last week due to the Lunar New Year.
An initial deployment that went poorly, as OnePlus noted that some users it had offered the update to “had an issue where the update wouldn’t start”. Of course, this operation was stopped immediately until the problem was solved.

Even if you still get a notification asking you to install the update, accepting it is strongly discouraged. OnePlus announces that a new version of the update will be distributed “as soon as possible”.
