OnePlus Fold: High-quality renders confirm that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5’s new competitor is on the horizon – notebookcheck.biz

OnLeaks and SmartPrix have collaborated to provide renders of the OnePlus Fold, which may later launch as the OnePlus V Fold. Either way, the first foldable OnePlus won’t look like any of Oppo’s Find N smartphones, despite sharing the same BBK Electronics lineage. Instead, the Pixel Fold comes closest to the form factor of the Find N or Find N2, albeit with a slightly taller and wider body than Oppo’s foldable devices.

Though OnLeaks didn’t provide dimensions, the OnePlus Fold will be more sizable to larger foldable devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, Vivo X Fold2, and Huawei Mate X3 than the Oppo Find N2. Thus, the OnePlus Fold is probably compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5. However, OnLeaks suggests that the OnePlus Fold is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold5. Strangely, OnLeaks hasn’t rendered a power button, but it’s expected to integrate a fingerprint sensor as well. The OnePlus Fold also retains the company’s alert slider despite its thin body.

However, there are some unusual choices that are typical of first-generation products. OnePlus, for example, has placed the device’s LED flash in the upper-left corner of the rear, despite having ample room in the large camera body. The latter is also similar to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera, but with three lenses and a huge Hasselblad logo. In addition, the OnePlus Fold has an internal front camera, mounted on the top left, which can be easily obscured when the device is held in different ways. OnePlus will announce the OnePlus Fold globally in the second half of the year. Specifications have yet to be announced, but the device will likely combine a flagship Qualcomm chipset with a large battery and 120Hz displays.
