At least one suspect in a murder in Ontario was arrested Friday at the Casino de Montréal by the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in support of the Ontario Police, La Presse learned.

Shichao Dong and Lina Rong, aged 38 and 37 respectively, have been the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant since December 14.
They are charged with the first-degree murder of a woman on December 4 in the town of Markham, about twenty miles north of Toronto. Both are classified by authorities as armed and dangerous.

The victim was found dead in an apartment on Buchanan Street. An autopsy showed it was murder.
According to our information, SPVM officers arrested at least one suspect in connection with the case Friday at the Casino de Montréal in support of York Regional Police.
Already accused of kidnapping
Last April, Shichao Dong was charged with another crime, kidnapping a woman to pay back a sum lost while gambling.
The victim was found by police at a hotel in Markham with Mr Dong and two others and arrested immediately. During this intervention, it was the Montreal police who alerted local authorities to the possible kidnapping of the woman, according to local media Durham Radio News.
Mr. Dong was charged with kidnapping, illegal possession of a firearm and negligent use of a firearm, among other things.
