Malls and most retail outlets are closed under the Commercial Establishments Hours and Days of Admission Act (New Window).

Convenience stores, large and small grocery stores, pharmacies, petrol stations, restaurants and bars remain open.

The branches of the Société des alcools du Québec remain open, with the exception of those located in a closed shopping center. All branches of the Société Québécoise du Cannabis will be closed.

Banks and tills are on vacation until Tuesday, July 4th.

Public service

Federal and state authorities are taking a break to mark the anniversary of the Confederation.

Canadian post offices will not deliver or collect mail until Monday. Service Canada offices will reopen Tuesday, while Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec service locations will be open Monday.

The schedule of public services varies by municipality.

The various collections remain intact and the eco-centres remain open according to their usual summer schedule.

At the Société de transport de Montréal, we would like to remind you that bus schedules may change on July 1st.

The Réseau de Transport de Longueuil and the Société de Transport de Laval offer Saturday services.

As for Exo’s local trains, the Vaudreuil-Hudson and Saint-Jérôme lines offer Sunday and weekend services respectively. Finally, lines 3, 4 and 5 (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Candiac and Mascouche) do not offer any service.
