Opening | Miss Pho: from mother to daughter – La Presse

The first Miss Pho was born in Saint-Laurent five years ago. It’s a beautiful story about family and lineage. Chi Tran’s mother owned a restaurant on Rue Jean-Talon, opposite Brasserie Harricana, for five years. A 40% rent increase made his dream come true.

Around the same time, Chi, a new mother, began thinking about a career change. The person working in wealth management finally decided to take on a project that could involve her mother, brother and even other family members who would continue to work in her field while lending a hand in handling the occasion.

And now a second Miss Pho has just seen the light of day, in Laval, in the new Espace Montmorency business center, near the subway. This will ultimately include 700 apartments, 15 office floors, 1 hotel and 32 businesses.

With Place Bell and Montmorency College across the street, the restaurant can count on a very large customer base. And who doesn’t want pho soup, grilled meat or a generous bánh mì on the go on a regular basis?

Don’t forget to order the excellent spring rolls, these rolls that are lighter and crispier than the “Imperials” thanks to their rice paper wrapping, and the “Vietnamese-style” papaya salad garnished with very tasty dried meat.

The place also has a very pleasant, colorful decor that might make you want to stay a little longer to enjoy a fried banana!
