Although he was a genius, inventor and great composer, he would be delighted if an audience otherwise denied this ability could finally enjoy this wondrous art. On August 5th, at the Greek Theater of Syracuse, an annoying wall will fall between people with hearing impairments and music, when a real revolution will begin in the field of opera, but above all a cultural and social revolution that will allow deaf people to enjoy the show par excellence, the sum of all arts, namely opera. < >. In fact, for the first time even deaf people can listen live for free, a cornerstone of Italian melodrama, through a revolutionary project born of the collaboration between the Sicilian Opera Choir, creator and producer of the Stone Theater Opera Festival, and the Syracuse association “Sicilia, turismo per Tutti” in the person of Bernadette Lo Bianco. The project involves the National Agency for the Protection and Assistance of the Deaf in the provincial section of Syracuse, which will provide collaborators to interpret in sign language the poignant passions and immortal melodies of the world’s most performed opera, La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. < >.
