Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has attacked Dana White after footage surfaced of him hitting his wife at a nightclub and branding the UFC boss a “Boston aerobics teacher”.
White was on holiday in Mexico with his wife Anne to celebrate the New Year when an argument broke out between the two in the VIP area of a club, which was filmed by guests at the venue.

In the widely shared video, White can be seen grabbing his wife’s wrist before she slaps him in the face. White then retaliates by punching her in the face before the couple was separated.
The clip has already been viewed by millions on social media and prompted White, 53, to issue a public apology, with his wife telling reporters her husband’s actions were “uncharacteristic”.
De La Hoya, who has had a longstanding feud with the UFC President, has taken the opportunity to mock and criticize his old foe.

He tweeted: “My good friend @DanaWhite is so greedy he has decided to steal fighter salaries from his new league on TBS ‘Power Slap’ by becoming fighter of the night against his WIFE. Those aerobics trainers from Boston are really tough guys.’
De La Hoya was referring to the new Power Slap League created by White, in which competitors try to take each other out with open slaps, and which has been widely criticized by MMA fans.
His claim that White is a “Boston Aerobics Instructor” stems from the UFC boss’s time as a boxercise instructor in the American city.
The feud between White and De La Hoya dates back to the 2017 showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, which De La Hoya says “disrespects the sport of boxing.”
Since then, De La Hoya has made snide remarks about White and repeatedly challenged him to a boxing match, with White returning fire by branding the “Golden Boy” a “liar,” “drug addict,” and “scumbag.”

White is now facing calls to step down as UFC president after an interview he conducted in 2014 resurfaced in which he claimed you “never recover from laying your hands on a woman.”
White has been married to his wife Anne since 1996. The couple have three children together in the last 26 years when his net worth soared to a reported $500 million with the UFC’s explosion in popularity.
Addressing the incident to TMZ, the UFC chief said: “My wife and I were out on Saturday night on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately that happened.
“I’m one of those guys who says there’s never an excuse for a man to put his hands on a woman, and now I’m talking about it here on TMZ.

“It’s one of those horrible situations. I’m embarrassed. We have three children and since the video surfaced we have shown it to the children and are now more focused on our family.
“People will have their opinion on this and people’s opinion would be right, especially in my case. You never attack a woman.”
His wife Anne told TMZ: “To say this is out of character for him is an understatement – nothing like this has ever happened.
“Unfortunately we both drank too much on New Year’s Eve and things got out of hand on both sides. We discussed this as a family and we apologized to each other.
