Osmel Sousa: "I want Nicaragua to win Miss Universe 2023" 100% News • Nicaragua

On November 18, El Salvador will witness the most important event in beauty and only one of the more than 80 candidates will win the Miss Universe crown. Beauty pageant expert Osmel Sousa assured that he wants Nicaragua to win this year and sees great potential in Sheynnis Palacios.

“I would love for Nicaragua to win because it is a country that has never won. I hardly believe that another country will return with such strong characteristics as this year’s candidate,” said the expert after consulting Telemundo.

According to Sousa, there needs to be a real change in this beauty pageant so that “the same” beauty queens are not chosen.

The expert analyzed the performance of five Latinas who, in his opinion, stood out the most for their beauty in a swimsuit and their elegance in a gala dress on the first evening of the preliminary rounds of the competition.

“I love Nicaragua. Not only because she has a different look, she knows how to wear it very well and she did it beautifully,” said Osmel Sousa, explaining that she was the favorite of all the participants.

Regarding the dress that Sheynnis Palacios wore during her presentation, which was inspired by the blue and turquoise waters of Corn Island with more than a hundred thousand crystal stones and designed by Jared Bermúdez, Sousa said that it was a “beautiful dress” by your compatriot, who knows how to shine with his work.

“The dress was made by a Venezuelan. I already knew that the dress would be well made because this Venezuelan does very good things, he also made the dress from Venezuela, Nicaragua and Curacao.”

In addition to Nicaragua, Osmel Sousa’s list of favorites included the candidate from El Salvador, from Colombia, who “went out to kill” in her parade on the Miss Universe catwalk, as well as the representative of Puerto Rico and Venezuela, which he insisted on having them about the experience of participating in other beauty pageants.

“I am sure that the one who will win on Saturday will be someone who has already taken part in another competition because he knows how to move beautifully and how to handle the stage,” said the beauty czarina.
