Our first two NHL sports bets this week have proven to be winners, so let's continue this great streak!
Wednesday's pick involves the Boston Bruins, who will host the Carolina Hurricanes.
This should be a great matchup between two dominant teams in the East. But I chose the Bruins, with odds of about 1.74 in decimal format.
They're heading into the All-Star break in great shape and I think they'll pick up their sixth straight win in Wednesday's game.
A beating
The Hurricanes arrive in Boston after the Minnesota Wild dealt them a solid loss in their last game with a score of 5-2.
On the other hand, the Bruins have now won five times in a row, most recently with an impressive 4-1 win over the Jets. The four goals scored in this game broke the Jets' 34-game streak in which they allowed three or fewer goals.
The Bruins also enter Wednesday's game having won six of their last seven home games. However, the Hurricanes were also able to impress away from home recently and also scored points in six of their last seven away games.
The Bruins have been a scorer in their last five games. They scored a total of 25 goals and only allowed 10. This is impressive both offensively and defensively.
Two big attacks
On the other hand, the Hurricanes have scored 18 goals in the last five games and conceded 17 goals.
The Bruins are playing good hockey right now with their electric offense and stingy defense.
I think the Hurricanes and Bruins will have a good matchup on Wednesday and it should be an exciting spectacle. I can't wait to see Sebastian Aho and David Pastrnak compete against each other.
The Bruins, my choice
Both players are exciting to watch and are on fire.
Pastrnak currently has 67 points, including 30 goals and 37 assists. On the other hand, Aho collected 51 points, including 16 goals and 35 assists. He is currently ranked 15th this season, while Pastrnak is third in the same category.
However, it's difficult to look past the Boston Bruins in Wednesday's game.
The Hurricanes at 2.20 might seem tempting at first glance, but the Bruins are just too strong right now. The Bruins are my choice here at reasonable odds.
On Thursday!
