Messmer is becoming increasingly popular across the ocean. His new European tour was announced even before it started 13HzShe had sold more than 100,000 tickets. “Given the pandemic and the increased cost of living, we did not expect such a strong reaction,” admits the fascinator Newspaper.
On January 11th, Messmer started his new show in Paris. By the end of June he will give 75 performances across French-speaking Europe.

His son Antoine, who we saw in Occupation Double in the West, will join him at the beginning of February and be his assistant on stage.
Messmer will then come to Quebec in the fall on a new tour that will be announced very soon.
Renew the audience
The enthusiasm for this new show in Europe is impressive. On the other end of the line, the Quebecer mentions that he aims to exceed 125,000 tickets sold by the beginning of February. “It's unexpected. It’s a hit, as they say here.”
After 12 years of performing on the Old Continent, Messmer is surprised to find that he is still renewing his audience today. “Every evening I ask people [qui sont] those who discover me on stage for the first time. I swear 90% of people raise their hands. That's magic. It seems like it’s not going to stop anytime soon.”
Messmer assumes that his current box office success is due, among other things, to the program “Messmer, the World Record”, which was broadcast on TF1 in April 2023. The show, hosted by Arthur, was watched by more than 2.5 million viewers. “I hypnotized 1,066 people in five minutes,” says the Quebecer.
His new show has the intriguing title 13Hz. “These are the areas of the brain. At 13 Hz we reach the subconscious, he explains. When I get people to that level, doors open.”
He dreamed of becoming a DJ
On the poster for the new show we see Messmer with headphones. It's a reference to the fact that he dreamed of becoming a DJ when he was younger. “I was always frustrated that I could never get people to dance,” he says. So I decided to include a number in the show where I perform a David Guetta of myself and hypnotize people with the musical rhythm. You will think of yourself in a city like Ibiza!”

After more than 15 years at Entourage Group (Mariana Mazza, PA Méthot), Messmer decided to start his own business. So he's producing this new tour himself. “I thought I was big enough to work on my own,” he said. It was an obvious business decision.”
