Owen Warner revealed he’s never heard of A Place in the Sun when he made his debut on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in the opening episode on Sunday.
The Hollyoaks actor, 23, admitted he had no idea what the hit Channel 4 show was despite his new flatmate Scarlette Douglas being the presenter.
It was left to singer Boy George to fill the young actor with the fact that A Place In The Sun isn’t actually a place, it’s a television show.

In the opening scenes, the 61-year-old ’80s hitmaker was the first celebrity to arrive, followed by Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, 59.
Owen became the third celebrity to join the couple and said he kept “pinching” himself upon arrival.
When Scarlette last arrived, Karma Chameleon singer Boy George told Owen, “She’s from A Place In The Sun,” to which he asked, “Whereabout?”

Boy George replied, “No, like the TV show.”
Following the hilarious moment, rugby star Mike Tindall joined the stars before Ant and Dec showed up by boat to update the celebrities on their trip to camp.
Dec revealed: “You’re not going to be making the trip to camp together. One of you has already been voted Jungle VIP by the public.’
Boy George was promoted to VIP and chose presenter Scarlette as his plus for a delicious meal for two on a luxury yacht.

When asked why he picked her, Boy George said: “Her outfit! She looks good, her earrings are great.”

Owen, Mike and Sue quickly boarded a helicopter that took off into the jungle to face off with Critter Cruise to collect stars for the camp.
Leading this year’s line-up are Love Island star Olivia Attwood, DJ Chris Moyles, Loose Women’s Charlene White, comedian Babatúndé Aléshé and retired English lioness Jill Scott.
It was announced on Tuesday that Matt Hancock is also heading to the Australian jungle as a surprise latecomer.
