Regent’s Park College, one of 44 colleges in the University of Oxford, in the United Kingdomannounced a new disciplinary policy: expelling students who call transgender classmates by their first names.
The guidelines are contained in the “Declaration of Trans Inclusion” released by the college last week. Students of the educational institution helped to create the document.

The faculty believes that “misgendering,” or the use of pronouns that reflect a transgender person’s biological sex, must be considered an illegal form of bullying.

“Persistently confusing a person with the wrong name or pronoun and claiming that this was done by mistake may be perceived as harassment by the person concerned,” says an excerpt from the document. “People who are perceived as transgender, including intersex people, need to be protected from bullying and harassment, whether the perception is true or not.”

The college prohibits “transphobic harassment or bullying by individuals or groups” and promises disciplinary action against suspected offenders.

Joshua Sutcliffe, a Christian teacher who taught mathematics at a school in Oxford, has been banned from practicing law by an agency of the UK Department of Education. In an interview with the Fox News Digital website, the professor explained that the British education system only allows “one view” of gender and sexuality. “And it’s not a Christian point of view,” he added.
