Ozzy Osbourne exits a physical therapy session without a cane…six months after surgery

Rock star Ozzy Osbourne was spotted leaving a physical therapy session in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Black Sabbath singer, 74, looked a bit frail as he walked to his car with the help of a make-aid at his side.

In June, the singer – who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 – underwent “life-changing” surgery.

The Grammy Award-winning singer was dressed casually in a black top and matching sweatpants.

He wore black sneakers as he walked and had his shoulder-length hair combed back.

Over the summer his wife Sharon Osbourne, 70, told Britain’s The Talk on TalkTV that the major surgery would “dictate the rest of his life”.

The songwriter had previously suffered a bad fall in which metal bars placed in his spine came loose after a quad bike accident in 2003.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee spoke to Classic Rock about the surgery in May.

“I’m just waiting for another surgery on my neck,” he said. “I can’t walk properly these days.”

He continued: “I have physical therapy every morning. I’m doing a little better, but not nearly as much as I’d like to be to get back on the road.’

In January 2020, Ozzy announced that he was diagnosed with Parkin 2, a form of Parkinson’s disease, in 2019.

Speaking to Good Morning America with his wife by his side, he said he could no longer hide the pain and had to start taking a “quite a lot” of medication to manage the symptoms.

He said he hid his condition for a year but decided to finally open up about his health.

He revealed it all started when he fell at his Los Angeles home in January 2019, shortly after being hospitalized with pneumonia.

The fall dislodged metal rods placed in his spine after his accident in 2003 – which fractured eight ribs, his collarbone and a cervical vertebra.

His heart also stopped twice on the way to the hospital.

The fall at home was less severe but still traumatic, Ozzy said.

“I went to the bathroom at night, lost my balance and landed flat on my face,” he told Weekend Magazine.

“I saw this big white flash when I hit the ground,” he said. ‘And I thought, ‘You’ve finally made it.’

“I knew it was bad,” he continued. “I thought I was paralyzed, so I said very calmly, ‘Sharon, I can’t move. I think I broke my neck. Call an ambulance.”

In September, he performed at the Los Angeles Rams’ season-opener halftime show against the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium.

A day later he released his thirteenth solo studio album Patient Number 9.
