Packers lose lead and game to Falcons, 25-24 – Packers.com

The Falcons rally in the fourth and beat the Packers 25-24

The Falcons had a big play early in the fourth quarter with Ridder completing a 45-yard pass to Hollins to the Green Bay 12.

The Packers held Allgeier and Robinson to 1-yard leads on first and second downs and had Atlanta on fourth downs after a 4-yard pass to London on third downs.

However, Ridder evaded a four-and-four keeper and brought Atlanta within five, 24-19, with 11:48 left.

The Packers were unable to increase their total on the next series as Love’s pass to Malik Heath fell incomplete on third-and-8.

After two 4-yard runs by Allgeier, Ridder gained four yards to convert the ball on third-and-2. Robinson then got free down the sideline to the Green Bay 24 with a 29-yard pass.

Karl Brooks tackled Robinson for a 2-yard loss on first down to regain some momentum. Douglas threw a third-and-7 to Mack Hollins that led to a 39-yard field goal by Koo that made it 24-22 with 8:10 left.

The Packers gained six yards on first down with Dillon, but fell short on their next two runs. Green Bay tried to sneak it, but got a false start on fourth-and-1. The Packers stumbled with 6:07 left.

London gained 24 yards on a deep ball to the Green Bay 49. On third-and-3, Ridder connected with Robinson on a slant for 10 yards. Due to a read option, Ridder was knocked down on a third-and-3, one yard short of the first down.

Falcons coach Arthur Smith challenged the point of the ball, but the on-field decision stood and Atlanta went for it. Ridder threw the ball to Robinson, who intercepted it seven yards to the right.

Robinson made it again on the third and sixth passes, but was tackled a yard short of first down. Atlanta let the clock run down to a minute before calling a timeout. The Falcons took a 25-24 lead on Koo’s 25-yard field goal with 57 seconds left.

The Packers took over after a touchback at their own 25 yards. Facing fourth and ten after three incompletions, Love appeared to hit Touré across the middle for the first strike, but upon further review it was ruled incomplete to end the game.
