White tank top: Marquezine, Kate Moss and Sasha prove it’s a musthave 10/08/2022

Far from being a novelty in the fashion world, the white tank top is in a fever at the moment. Without much mystery, the piece is a necessary item in every wardrobe. The hype started with fashion shows by luxury brands such as Prada, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, Prada and Sacai. In the Italian brand’s Winter 2023 presentation, the piece was used with another fashion world darling: jeans. “Note that the entire look is very well tailored, with top quality fabric, cutting and modelling. That’s what makes every tshirt unique,” comments stylist Priscilla Quaresma.

According to the specialist, the regatta, which was once considered only an addition to the look, amplifies the power of street fashion. “That street style influence is still very strong. The tailoring lost a little bit of strength, it was very massive. And the white tshirt gave that striped look,” he says.

With this democratic aura, the “essential” shirt carries the looks of celebrities such as Bruna Marquezine, Sasha Meneghel, Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber and Luisa Sonza, among others. “There are models with thinner straps, with a slightly squarer neckline, ribbed fabrics and smoother ones,” Priscilla points out.

Last week, Kate Moss, 48, walked the runway for Bottega Veneta in a plaid coat and white Tshirt tucked into her jeans. “The regatta was a hit throughout the 1990s and 2000s, an aesthetic that has come through strongly in recent seasons. This look was heavily influenced by that decade,” says the stylist.

how to use

According to the stylist, the tank top can be worn on any occasion, but requires more production depending on the need: “In this case, I would complement the look with a piece with a more noble fabric, for example, tailored pants, with more shine, silk, satin , leather. All of this already points to a more modern style.”

Another option is to invest in textures, especially on an evening date. “I find it interesting to wear sequin pants with a white tshirt. It looks chic, casual, stylish and unpretentious,” says Priscilla, who also recommends wearing accessories and jewelry with the blouse to elevate the look.

Lulas victory in the first round of the presidency stood

Lula’s victory in the first round of the presidency stood out in Brazil

Brasilia, 08.10. (Prensa Latina) Former President Luiz Inácio Lulada Silva’s victory in the first round of presidential elections on October 2 with 48.43 percent of the vote stood out in Brazil this week.

“I always thought we were going to win. And here we go. It’s just an extension,” the Labor Party presidential candidate told the press in Sao Paulo after learning of his victory in last Sunday’s lawsuit.

The former union leader thanked the more than 58 million Brazilian voters for their trust and warned that now is the time to continue the fight and win at the end of the month.

Lula will be running in the second ballot on October 30 against far-right leader Jair Bolsonaro, who is seeking re-election with the Liberal Party and won 43.20 percent in the election.

More than 156 million eligible Brazilians have chosen their next president, but that will only be decided in a second ballot.

Also in the consultation, the state vice president, governors and lieutenant governors of the states and federal districts would be appointed; Senators, federal deputies and state deputies.

11 presidential candidates took part in the elections and according to national legislation, in order to be elected, a candidate must obtain an absolute majority of the votes, ie more than half of the valid votes (excluding blanks and zero votes).

If none of the power candidates meet this criterion, the second round takes place.

The same criteria applied to the election of governors in municipalities with more than 200,000 inhabitants.

For federal legislatures, the 513 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 27 benches, one for each federal unit, of the 81 total seats that make up the Senate were in contention.

Likewise, the federal, state and district deputies were elected according to the so-called proportional representation system, i.e. the representatives of the most elected parties or coalitions, after calculating the party quotient.

The federal constitution stipulates that every literate citizen born or naturalized in the country between the ages of 18 and 70 had to vote.

Voting rights were optional for young people aged 16 and 17, those over 70 and those who were illiterate. This means that they could exercise their right but were not legally obliged to do so.

Protests in Iran Heavy clashes in the streets of Tehran

Protests in Iran: Heavy clashes in the streets of Tehran

Status: 10.08.2022 18:54

The wave of protests in Iran is not abating. In the capital Tehran, anger against the regime erupted again on the streets and in universities. Security forces used violence against the protesters.

A good three weeks after the death of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini, Iran did not rest. In the capital, Tehran, protesters used Molotov cocktails. According to eyewitnesses, they also threw Molotov cocktails at police and security forces near and in front of Tehran University.

The state news agency IRNA confirmed the Molotov cocktails against public buildings but not against employees. According to the report, protesters again shouted slogans against the Islamic political elite.

Horn concerts for protesters

Clashes also broke out again in front of Sharif University’s elite, he said. The police used tear gas against the protesters. They say the shots were fired.

The clashes led to new traffic jams on some of Tehran’s main roads. Drivers are said to have supported protesters with concerts of horns and shouted slogans critical of the system.

Students to Raisi: “Go away”

President Ebrahim Raisi visited Al-Sahra University in Tehran and spoke again about foreign conspiracy operations against the Islamic Republic. “Even in universities, enemies now want to implement their goals,” said the cleric. But Iranian students and teachers would ensure that all these conspiracies failed, the president said, according to the ISNA news agency.

In a video that circulated on Twitter, students reportedly shouted “Go away” at him. Iran’s supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has previously described the anti-government protests as a foreign conspiracy.

Apparently strikes in four cities

The protests against the Islamic system are now in their fourth week. The Iranian human rights group Hengaw said demonstrations and strikes had erupted in four cities after a call for mass demonstrations. In the Kurdish towns of Sakkes and Sanandaj, security forces fired on protesters and used tear gas.

According to observers, the protests are increasingly taking the form of civil disobedience. Others also speak of a “digital revolution” because recorded videos of protest actions in the country are posted on social networks. Protesters are reaching millions at home and abroad. This strategy makes it difficult for police and security forces to suppress protests.

Civil rights groups: 150 dead

Kurdish Amini was arrested in Tehran on September 13 for allegedly violating rules on wearing a headscarf. She died three days later. There is conflicting information about the circumstances of her death. According to state information, a coroner concluded that Amini had died not from being beaten in police custody, but from a previous illness.

The death of the young Kurd set off a nationwide wave of protests, which have long been directed against the country’s leadership and restrictions on civil liberties in general. According to civil rights groups, the protests killed more than 150 people, injured hundreds and arrested thousands. The Iranian government blames its enemies – including the United States – for the protests. 20 security forces were killed.

Interior ministers discuss deportations

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said that “in the current disastrous human rights situation” deportations to Iran are irresponsible. She urged federal states to react “as soon as possible”.

His interior ministers will likely deal with the suspension of deportations at their conference. The announcement was made by the president, Interior Minister of Bavaria, Joachim Hermann. With the exception of “serious criminals”, Bavaria has already suspended deportations to Iran by then, he told newspapers from the Funke media group.

Paris advises leaving the country

France, for its part, recommended that its citizens leave Iran as soon as possible. The Paris Foreign Ministry justified its recommendation by saying that French citizens visiting the country are at a high risk of arrest, arbitrary detention and unfair sentences. This also applies to tourists. In the event of detention, respect for fundamental rights and security are not guaranteed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin also advises against a trip to Iran. For Germans there is a real danger of being “arbitrarily arrested, interrogated and sentenced to long prison terms”, according to the travel and security information on the Internet.

Scandal at the Danish court is Prince Joachim in love

Scandal at the Danish court: is Prince Joachim in love with his sister in law?

It would not only have been an economic and thus institutional reason that would have pushed the Danish queen Margaret II82 years old to strip the titles of Royal Highness from four of his grandchildren or the children born of the two marriages of Prince Joachim, his second son: Princes Nikolai (23), Felix (20), Henrik (13) and Athena (10). What initially seemed like a move more related to the internal management of the monarchy has changed its appearance in these hours after the appearance of a gossip in the Spanish magazine Vanitatis Elconfidentcial that condenses the plot by giving it a soap opera -gives airs.

From what was written, it would have been a “crush” to urge Queen Margrethe II to remove the titles from her grandchildren Prince Joachim (married to Princess Marie of Denmark) for her sister-in-law, Crown Princess Mary, originally from Australia and then married to prince Fredrik, 54 years old, heir to the throne. Together they had four children Christian, 16, Isabella, 15, and twins Vincent and Josephine, 11who stand from the second to the fifth degree in the line of succession.

“The three princes and the princess will be known as the Counts and Countess of Monpezat from early 2023”, we read in the official notice issued to communicate the decision taken. “The monarch has confirmed that they will retain their place in the line of succession (ie from seventh to tenth). The Queen’s decision is in line with similar changes made in other royal houses in recent years ». And the Royal House added: “Her Majesty the Queen wishes to create the conditions for her four grandchildren to be able to organize their lives more freely, without being bound by special considerations and duties than formal membership of the Royal House of Denmark as an institution would impose on them » . The same could happen to Archie and Lilibet Diana if Charles III, the new King of England, chose to do so.

The rumors about the alleged crush on Prince Joachim were also reportedly fueled by revelations from some sources within the Danish royal family there would be a photo where Prince Joachim appears to be trying to kiss Princess Mary, at a gala, “in a moment of drunkenness”. All hints remain of what could become a troubled but very exciting and passionate love story. The only thing that is certain at the moment is that Queen Margrethe II’s four grandchildren will no longer enjoy the title “Royal Highness”. And at first they didn’t take it very well. So much so that the Queen Mother wrote an open letter to apologize “from both grandmother and mother,” but without changing her mind. “After 50 years on the throne, I look back, of course, but also forward. It is my duty and my wish as Queen to ensure that the monarchy is always up to date.”

The singer hired by Omega Energia says consumers will be able to choose a carrier like they choose a cell phone, and it won’t be; in fact, the poorest can lose

A video shared on Friday (October 7th, 2022) by the singer Ivete Sangalo on her Instagram profile in support of the free electricity market can mislead the consumer. But in the early evening of this Friday at 7:46 p.m The post was no longer available in the artist’s feed see the image below (the print on the left is from late afternoon and the right is from the beginning of the night).

Instagram/ivetesangalo 7.Oct.2022 Left picture of profile on Instagram of Ivete Sangalo promoting Omega Energia. Late on Friday evening (October 7th, 2022) the singer seems to have regretted it and deleted the post (right picture)

The video was sponsored by Omega Energia, a company that owns wind farms and small hydroelectric power plants, which also published (and then turned off read below) the file on their social media profiles. It was not disclosed how much this marketing promotion was worth or how much the singer received. Ivete says in the recording that the electricity bill is expensive. He then asks, “What if we could choose the cheapest energy and supplier the same way we chose a cellphone operator or a bank? It seems strange, but it already exists here in Brazil”.

At 10:54 p.m., hours after the singer removed the video from her feed, the content about the free energy market with Ivete Sangalo was also no longer available on the Omega Energia Instagram profile. The posts have been deleted. See the 2 prints below:

Instagram/instadaomega In the 1st image above, Omega Energia’s Instagram profile showcases the free energy market campaign with Ivete Sangalo; in the 2nd image (below), hours later, the content appears unavailable

Watch Ivete’s video sponsored by Omega Energia (2min15s):

Ivete’s statement is disputed. She mentions that a project is being discussed “right now” and asks people to share her video: “Be part of this movement that can change the lives of millions of Brazilians”. In the jingle created for the campaign, the artist says, “Choose energy as you choose a bank, operator, and mobile.”

This is not a fact. To switch carriers, just go to a store in a mall, buy a SIM card, and install it on the device. When changing energy supplier, the negotiation is long and very difficult for the individual consumer. In the case of a building, all members of the condominium would have to validate through lengthy negotiations. Unlike a mobile phone with a prepaid chip that only needs to be replaced for a few reais, energy consumers will never have this option, as Ivete Sangalo claims in the advertisement paid for by Omega.

The project cited is PL 414/2021 (complete 191 KB). The proposal, which gives consumers the right to choose who they buy energy from, has unclear points and it’s not clear who exactly will benefit from it. Reason: It may have an opposite effect to what Ivete says in the videoIncrease electricity bills for captive consumers (households and small businesses) and make energy cheaper for large consumers who will have bargaining power.

It’s unclear if Ivete Sangalo knew exactly what she was defending when she shot the video for the company that paid for the campaign. The text read in the ad really gives the impression that it is something to help the poorest. Something very uncertain, to say the least, and that leads many people to believe in something that doesn’t exist.

ivetesangaloomegaenergia

The expansion of the free energy market is defended by the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and has one of its biggest supporters in the Minister of Mines and Energy, Adolfo Sachsida. It is also unclear whether Ivete Sangalo knew about it or whether she supports or supports the current federal government.

The bill will be discussed by a special committee in the Chamber of Deputies. In August 2022, the President of the House of Representatives, Arthur Lira (PPAL), promised to chair it in October after the election. There is a possibility that the project will lose momentum in the next legislature as almost half of the congressmen who are part of the commission were not reelected.

The free market debate also requires a solution for the oldest power generation contracts. These are historical agreements that are paid for by the regulated market (which buys energy from the local distributor). For those who continue to shop at the retailer, the bill would rise as more consumers migrate to the open market. It is difficult to solve as there will never be a migration from one (regulated) system to another at once. Obviously, it is the smallest consumers especially the poorest who are left at the end. During the transition, they are the ones footing the bill.

A study commissioned by the Department of Commerce states that these overcontracting costs would be R$10 per MWh (megawatt hour) if the overcontracting costs were split between free and captive consumers. If the costs are not shared, the average fee could reach R$37 per MWh.

According to the text of Bill 414 of 2021, a fee must be created to cover these costs. The governmentcommissioned study by consulting firm PSR recommends gradually opening the market to all consumers from 2026 onwards. According to the consulting company, the gradual conversion could reduce the overcontract fee by R$ 6 per MWh. Still, it will be the poorest who will pay most for this burden on electricity bills.

According to the draft submitted to the Ministry of Mines and Energy for consultation, commercial and industrial lowvoltage consumers will be able to choose their energy supplier from 2026. Private households and rural consumers will have free choice from 2028.
