An expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine has revealed what your nails say about your health – down to every single mark.
The Eastern Philosophy, a small Asian-owned company specializing in herbal medicine, frequently shares educational videos about health on TikTok, including a video on how to identify your health condition simply by looking at your nails.
The now-viral video has amassed nearly 400,000 views and shows how the small business’s supporters can identify health concerns and decide if they need to see a doctor.

And if the lines on your nails are more horizontal than vertical, it could mean you have “possible gut problems.”
If the horizontal ridges are on the wider part of your nail, it can indicate the presence of IBS or celiac disease.
The presence of horizontal ridges is often referred to as Beau’s line and is usually a symptom of a serious medical condition.

According to Healthline, missing nail moons aren’t always a cause for concern, as they could simply be hidden under the cuticles or the skin at the base of the fingers.
However, the absence of lunulaes can also be a sign of depression or malnutrition.
