Paloma Faith admits she feels “really alone” when she lies in bed at night after splitting from her husband of six years, Leyman Lahcine

Paloma Faith has opened up about her split from ex-husband Lyman Lahcine, admitting she feels “really alone” in bed at night.

The singer and mother of two, 42, married the French artist, 36, in 2017, with rumors of a split first surfacing in November 2022.

Appearing on Thursday’s episode of Lorraine, Paloma chatted to the presenter about being single again while raising her six- and two-year-old daughters.

She said: “As a mother it’s so hard. Now I’m alone with the children, it’s so easy to say, ‘Here’s a screen,’ but we have to interact in a playful way and encourage their imagination.”

“I’m dreading the day when they don’t want to play with me anymore, it’s already happening too fast.”

“You have no idea what I do for a living, I’m just a mother. “I’m just ignored.”

Paloma’s latest single is called “How To Leave A Man” and the star spoke about the loneliness that can arise after a breakup.

She said, “I’m still going through it.” It’s the first time I’m promoting something I’m still experiencing.

“I don’t do much acting, I just get upset and cry.” It doesn’t take much to adjust to these feelings.

“When you’re at home, especially at night when the kids are in bed, you feel really alone.”

It comes after Paloma spoke about the split for the first time. According to The Sun, she said: “In the last few years I have come closer to failure, despair, sadness and loss than ever before in my life.”

“I had a choice: I could disappear into my melancholy or wear it as a badge of honor.”

“It wasn’t an option for me to stop and collapse.” I have two children. I am and always will be the breadwinner – a source of strength and support for many others.

Regarding dating other people, she added: “I’ll never be perfect. So if that’s what you want, find someone else to cheat on.” Be boring.

“It never gets boring for me.” Maybe annoying, maybe irritating, maybe stressful. But not boring.’

Ahead of her new single ‘How You Leave A Man’, Paloma, who has since moved in with her new boyfriend Andrew Soar, also revealed that she had to ask Lyman for permission as the single contains harsh digs at him.

The singer also revealed that one of the album’s tracks titled “Divorce” was the “hardest” for her to listen to.

Paloma added that despite their painful breakup, she has had to “take off the cast” to stay strong for her children as she still has to compete against Lyman on a regular basis.
