MEXICO CITY, September 4 (EL UNIVERSAL).- The witch of ’71, also known as Doña Clotilde, is undoubtedly one of the most memorable characters in the television show “El Chavo del 8”. These characters were played by the talented and popular actress Angelines Fernández, and their antics provided hours of laughter.

One of the people who always fondly remembers the character played by Angelines Fernández is her daughter Paloma Fernández. The character of La Bruja del 71 was a single woman who constantly aspired to be loved by the character Don Ramón played by actor Ramón Valdés, but he always tried to avoid her. Angelides’ first steps into acting were when she was 29 years old when Fernández came to our country to escape the horrors of the Spanish Civil War.

Before joining the cast of “El Chavo del 8,” Angelines Fernández starred in a few dramatic projects. Fernández retired in the 1990s and his tobacco addiction caused him respiratory and heart problems that took his life in 1994. But his legacy lives on thanks to the broadcasts of El Chavo del 8 and the memories of his loved ones.

This is what Paloma Fernández, Angeline’s daughter, looks like today

One of Paloma’s last appearances was meeting Esteban Valdés, the grandson of the actor who played Don Ramón. The meeting took place as part of an interview shared on the young man’s YouTube channel. They both recalled funny moments and anecdotes from their parents when they were part of the cast of “El Chavo del 8.”

Those who were able to see Paloma’s interview with Esteban Valdés assured that the woman looks a lot like Angelines Fernández. La Bruja del 71 has also appeared in other memorable projects in our country, such as “El Chapulín Colorado” and “Chespirito”, and in both productions she returned to collaborate with Roberto Gómez Bolaños.
