Cuban citizens who hold resident or multiple-entry visas valid for at least six months at the time of transit will benefit from Panama’s measure.
CITY OF PANAMA.- The National Immigration Service of Panama (SNM) announced exceptions for visas in transit this Wednesday Cuban Citizens who travel back to Cuba from this country, reports the web portal CubaNet
The measure contained in Executive Decree No. 86 of September 9, 2022 exempts Cubans holding valid tourist or resident visas in Panama from the transit or passenger visa requirement.
Cuban citizens with residence or multiple-entry visas – valid for at least six months at the time of transit – issued by Canada, the United States of America, Australia, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Singapore will also benefit from the measure and any state The European Union.
The rule also applies to Cuban citizens who have been permanent residents of third countries for at least five years and who are returning to these countries or who have a valid entry visa from the country of final destination.

The National Immigration Service of Panama stated that the Executive Decree came into force on September 12, 2022 and will be valid for a period of three months.
“The action is being carried out to ensure the sustainability of the measures taken to control the flow of migration through or out of our country, so that we can continue to take care of the situation of Cubans who have to travel through Panama,” the statement reads Statement of the SNM.
