PANAMA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) — the world.
In a statement, the Panamanian government viewed the process as a result of the joint work of the Panamanian ministries of foreign affairs and culture.
“This is the second repatriation of archaeological pieces in less than two weeks after the country received 343 pieces from the Netherlands (…)” said Panamanian Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes.
Panama is a signatory to the 1970 Convention on the Measures to be Taken to Prohibit and Prevent the Import, Export and Transfer of Cultural Property and that the Panamanian Ministry of Culture will permanently guard these assets, which will be part of the collection of the Anthropological Museum Reina Torres de Araúz.
