The International Emmy published the full list of nominees this Tuesday (26). There are 14 categories in total, and in Brazil seven different productions compete for the prize, including the soap operas Pantanal (2022) and Cara e Coragem (2022) from Globo; and the series Lynchamentos (2022) by Record. HBO Max and Prime Video also managed to promote their productions in search of the statuette. The awards ceremony will take place on November 20th.
Reality show A Ponte The Bridge Brasil, which marked actor Murilo Rosa’s debut as host, was nominated for best unscripted entertainment program. The HBO production shows a group of people, celebrities and anonymous, locked in a cabin. To get out, they have to build a bridge until they reach a cash prize.
The documentary series Dossier Chapecó The game behind the tragedy tells the reasons for the tragic plane crash in which almost the entire Chapecoense team died in 2016. In four episodes, Prime Video presents unknown details about the survivors, widows and people seeking justice and reparation.
The animated film Menino Maluquinho, based on Ziraldo’s comics, competes for best animation; and the show Quintal TV from Futura appears in the factual category, also for children. Check out the nominees below:
