Paolla Oliveira returns to the g1 container bringing Diogo Nogueira
The drum queen of Grande Rio, Paolla Oliveira, was once again one of the sensations in Sapucaí this Sunday (19th). Superstitiously she went back to the g1 container (as she did in 2022 and ended up winning), revealed that she uses a fork to adjust the costume on her head, put on a show in Sector 1 (see video below) and still drank beer on the avenue, in homage to the brewer Zeca Pagodinho.
Last year, Paolla entered the room used as a base for journalists covering carnival for g1 to customize the costume. That year, dressed in the costume depicting the weapons of Ogum, she took on her staff her friend Diogo Nogueira and stylist Michelly X, who was in charge of making the clothes.
“We always choose clothes that are nice and comfortable, if only nice doesn’t work on the street, for samba. Laugh and fix the look with a fork.

“Don’t you notice that, folks…backstage,” he said, laughing, until the stylist of Providence came and fixed the queen.
Diogo just watched his beloved and revealed that she is always calm even moments before entering the avenue.
“Something will happen whether we get nervous or not. So it’s better to stay calm and let it happen,” said Diogo, who not only accompanies his girlfriend but is also one of the authors of the samba that pays homage Zeca Pagodinho the plot of Grande Rio in 2023.

Beer at Sapucaí
After the parade, the Queen said that she drank beer during the parade as a tribute to brewer Zeca Pagodinho.
She says that the excitement is influenced by Erê’s energy the word erê comes from the Yoruba, erê, meaning “to play”.
“I liked the energy. I loved the energy. It was real this time, but we perform like champions every time. Energy takes over, energy from Erê, energy from an emotional party. Behold Zeca there, so many samba people, behold Diogo. I still have energy, I want it back,” said Paolla.
Diogo praised his companion’s performance: “A thousand notes”. “It’s wonderful to see her. It’s good that she has this energy because she helps us. A thousand notes,” said singer Diogo Nogueira.

When asked if she was superstitious and believed the g1 container might have brought her and Grande Rio luck in 2022, Paolla Oliveira laughed and confirmed.
“I’m superstitious, yes. Let’s see if the container still works this year,” joked the Queen just before the parade.
