How does astrology fit into your life?
Coincidentally, when I was 15, I thought it was all nonsense. At that time, there was no social media or many distractions, I still had time to be curious, and I started reading my classmates’ star sign profiles in high school to see if they matched their personalities. In March 1977, at the age of 16, I made my first broadcast on TeleJolly. It was one of those newborn private television channels that didn’t know what to broadcast and that broadcast Stallio e Ollio from morning to night. How did your parents take it?

And you’re not prepared to serve customers?
I never wanted to do this job for money and to this day I have never had a private client. That’s also the reason why I don’t stay on social media: inaccessibility is a guarantee of credibility. When Telejolly ended I thought my entire career as an astrologer was over, but instead my name is the weekly children’s magazine Cio. Astrology was my destiny: since I started, I have never lacked for work.
When did you start making a living from it?
I had won a competition in public administration, I had the classic permanent job. But I wasn’t cut out for this life: I was late, I didn’t have the pleasure of doing things, I felt like I was stealing my salary. I needed a creative activity. In the meantime, I had started creating free horoscopes for the radio and invented a new language: direct, clear, which then became the standard. Every day I have to study 12 characters and write them differently for radio, television and newspapers: You can’t address the housewife or the worker in the same way.
