How did Joao Farías, the “Paolo Guerrero de Comas,” become famous?
Luis Joao Farías had the motivation to devote himself to football from a young age. At the age of 14, he moved to Chimbote to play. Then he arrived in Huaraz. After some time he moved to Comas. In this district of Lima he was able to play with the Liga V club in the Peru Cup. With the team he met Deportivo Municipal, which ended his ambitions to reach the first division.
But it was only in the home and away games against “The Academy” that his physique became noticeable. Those who attended this meeting noticed that it was very similar Paolo Guerrero. Thanks to this, he was interviewed by the news programs. He appeared on television and was known as “Paolo Guerrero de Comas.” He later left Lima County to play for other teams such as CNI de Iquitos, Unión Huarla and Sport Áncash.
