The woman at the center of this story, whom La Presse is not naming, was arrested in the middle of the afternoon that day in front of her child’s school. In the patrol car, she told police that she could no longer feel her limbs. He then forcibly took her out of the patrol car and placed her on the sidewalk in front of the HLM, where she lives.

According to six eyewitnesses, the woman remained paralyzed on the sidewalk for several dozen minutes before paramedics arrived. They told La Presse that they were concerned about the situation.
