France and Germany want to revitalize trilateral cooperation with Poland in the “Weimar Triangle”. Sejourne, a close confidant of French President Emmanuel Macron, was named new foreign minister in a government reshuffle. His first official trip abroad took him to Kiev over the weekend, where he emphasized France's support for Ukraine, which has been attacked by Russia.
In Berlin, Sejourne reiterated this statement. “We must support Ukraine as long as necessary,” said the French Foreign Minister.
