In France, a boy’s life is in danger after he was allegedly attacked by his nanny. The child was found between two cars with a plastic bag over his head, as announced on Saturday night by the Créteil Public Prosecutor’s Office. A 29-year-old man had already gone to the police and said he had strangled a child he was supposed to care for. The drunk man was taken into police custody. Justice is investigating attempted murder.
The man told authorities on Friday night in Choisy-le-Roi, south of Paris, where he had left the boy. Passersby had already noticed the child there and also alerted security forces. The child’s body showed signs of beating and strangulation, the Public Ministry said.
Authorities were able to identify the child after his parents failed to find their seven-year-old son and his nanny when they returned home and called the police. According to the parents, the man had been taking care of the boy for three years.
