(ANSA) – HANOI – MPs Alessandro Cattaneo (Forza Italia) and Federica Onori (M5s) took part in the work of the ninth World Conference of Young Parliamentarians in Hanoi in recent days, focusing on the themes of digital transformation, sustainable development and innovative startups concentrated.
They were received by the Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, Marco Della Seta, and also met with the Italian community and visited some companies.
Cattaneo emphasized the importance of the transversality of parliamentary diplomacy, an essential element to address the challenges of the future, especially on issues to which young parliamentarians are more sensitive depending on their age.
He also emphasized the importance of Italian companies abroad, which are a key driver of change due to their global orientation.
Federica Onori stressed the urgency of overcoming the gender gaps that emerged from the work of the conference, noting in particular the great differences between countries. She particularly appreciated the dialogue with the Italian community and collecting concrete ideas for the work.
The World Conference of Young Parliamentarians, taking place this year in Vietnam from September 14 to 18, brings together around 500 delegates, including 300 international delegates from 70 member parliaments of the Interparliamentary Union and international organizations. (ANSA).
