At least that’s what some of them told the Chron and on social networks.

The flight was scheduled to take off from Atlanta to Barcelona, but after two hours the pilot had to turn back due to a “biohazard issue,” he said.

“I hope no one else has to go through something like this,” said Marie Beals-Basinger. “I hope the poor woman who had this experience recovers.”

“It ran down the aisle and smelled terrible,” another passenger tweeted about the disgusting experience.

Another passenger complained about a vanilla scent, which didn’t improve the situation.

John Hudt, who said he was also on board the flight, described it as “mess.”

“The pilots made the right decision to turn back,” he tweeted. “The ground crew did an excellent job given the circumstances, as did the flight attendants and pilots.”

John Hudt said aircraft crews ripped out the carpets before replacing them.

Xansby Swanson, who originally posted the footage of the flight, said his little brother, who was on board, found the situation strange.

The airline, for its part, apologized to passengers. The latter were rebooked on another flight that landed in Barcelona the next day.
