Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated comeback film Pathaan finally gets its big release today (25th January, Wednesday). The spy thriller, directed by hitmaker Siddharth Anand, marks SRK’s comeback in leading roles after a long hiatus of over 4 years. The badshah of Bollywood reunites with his beloved screen couple Deepika Padukone for the project, which is being funded by acclaimed banner Yash Raj Films. Ahead of the release, the Pathaan team attended a special screening of the film held in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

The creators held a low-key screening of Pathaan in Mumbai on Tuesday night, January 24, ahead of the film’s major release. Shah Rukh Khan, the leading man of Pathaan, attended the screening event with his lovely wife Gauri Khan. The Bollywood superstar looked handsome as ever in a semi-formal black shirt, which he paired with matching black trousers and a statement black necklace. John Abraham, who plays the main antagonist Jim in the film, partnered with SRK in Black. The handsome look opted for a black t-shirt, which he paired with a matching hoodie and black pants.
Deepika Padukone, who is reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan for the fourth time in her acting career for Pathaan, looked stunning as ever in a comfortable tan sweatshirt. The actress completed her look with matching brown pants, her signature free messy hairstyle and minimal makeup.

Pathaan in the spy universe
As you may know, Pathaan is the latest installment in the critically acclaimed spy universe established by Yash Raj Films based on Salman Khan’s blockbuster franchise Tiger and War, starring Hrithik Roshan. Shah Rukh Khan plays the title character Pathaan, an ex-RAW field agent who returns to the field after a long exile to protect India from Jim, the highly dangerous leader of the “Outfit X” terrorist group, played by John Abraham. Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, plays a spy who joins Pathaan in his mission in Siddharth Anand’s ambitious film.
