Patrick Bruel is currently completing a turbulent stint in Quebec; The singer, who will appear at the Grand Crus Musicaux in Saguenay on Saturday and the FESTIVOIX in Trois-Rivières on Sunday, takes the opportunity to present his rosé wine LEOS at the SAQ.
What can we expect from your two weekend shows?
“Every time I go to Saguenay, it’s very friendly and festive, and the conclusion of the FESTIVOIX is a very honorable place. I will do some songs from the new album, but mainly songs that people know and expect.
Happy to be back in Quebec?
“Honestly, it’s good to come here for any occasion. I said to my musicians in France: How about a little trip to Quebec? In life you tend to go where people like you. People always smile at me here.”
You are taking the opportunity to present your LEOS rosé wine from the 2022 vintage. We didn’t know that Patrick Bruel is also a winemaker! Is it a way for you to be creative otherwise?
“We marketed this wine in several territories in France and in Quebec the SAQ was interested. I talk about it with great pleasure. The wine received several awards in France and even in Quebec this morning: the Rosé of the Year from the Bacchus network. It’s a very emotional adventure because the Augusta cuvée is for my mom.”
Tell me about your latest album Once again, started last November.
“I would say there is no better way to get to know me. This album is many things. This lockdown period has changed many things; People, self, nature, the urgency of things. I talk about all of this. The more I hear it, the more I like it. It will be the most important of all my albums. I will be back next fall to present it on stage in Quebec.”
