Patsy Kensit says she now knows she didn’t have to marry as many of her friends and admits only two of her four marriages were “significant”.

Despite a long career in show business, Patsy Kensit is perhaps best known for her tangled love life.
And now – at the age of 54 – she has finally realized that there was no need to walk down the aisle with so many of her friends.
In fact, the former Holby City star appears to have even left two of her four ex-boyfriends off her husbands list.

The actress, who first married in 1988 when she was 22, is divorced from Dan Donovan, 1980s pop group Big Audio Dynamite, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and most recently DJ Jeremy Healy from the nineties.

But today, single and “dating,” Miss Kensit candidly admits only two of her four trips down the aisle have been “significant marriages.” They are Kerr and Gallagher’s fathers to their sons James, 28, and Lennon, 22, both of whom still live with her in north London.
She told the Postcards From Midlife podcast, “Well, I got married to all my friends, so… that was something I learned I didn’t have to do. I can’t change the laws… [but] I dated Jim and Lennon’s father for years, so I sort of count them as my two marriages.
“I know that’s not allowed, I know there was a ceremony. But I feel like those were the really meaningful relationships and in many ways very, very deep and wonderful.
Miss Kensit married Donovan in 1988 but they separated in 1991. She married Kerr a year later but they divorced in 1995. In 1997 Miss Kensit was married to Gallagher. They separated in 2000 and it was nine years before Miss Kensit walked down the aisle again, this time marrying Healy.
They had been friends since the 1980s. But they went their separate ways in 2010, citing the pressure of work.
