Sydney-born Paul Hogan longs to call Australia home again.
But the 83-year-old Crocodile Dundee comedy icon, who lives in Los Angeles, says he won’t leave his adult son Chance, who was born in the US, behind.
In a revealing interview in The Daily Telegraph on Friday, the legendary comedian said he would rather live in Australia because he was homesick.

He currently shares a house in Venice Beach with Chance, 24, a punk rocker whom Hogan refers to as “American.”
“The only family [Chance has got] I am,” Hogan told the publication.
All of Chance’s close relatives, including his grandparents, have died, the Australian superstar has said.

And although Chance says Hogan loves visiting Australia, his home is in the US.
“All his friends, his band, fellow musicians, girlfriends, everything — they’re all American.”
“He only has me, while my tribe at home all has each other,” the fan favorite told the publication.
Chance is Hogan’s youngest child, who he shares with Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski, 74.

He left his first wife Noelene to pursue a love affair with much younger Linda, now 74, and they married in 1990. Coincidentally, their only son.
In 2005 he moved to Los Angeles with Kozlowski. The couple split in 2013 and Paul played a major role in raising Chance.
“I’ve been homesick for years,” he said in an interview on Friday. “I miss the people, the ambiance – and there’s something that just can’t be pinpointed, but there’s something friendlier and more relaxed about Australia.
“It never takes itself seriously — there’s no arrogance like there is in other places.”
