Paul McCartney published a video on his Instagram on Wednesday 3 in which he thanked the Brazilian public for their presence in the Got Back tour, which passed through Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo led. “Paul completed his 2023 Got Back Tour in five major cities in Brazil, ending with a great show at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro! With a comment from Paul himself, the musician commented on the emotion of playing in the country: “It was fantastic,” said the exBeatle. He also highlights the presence of young people at the masses and thanks the Brazilian public for the welcome. The video shows a behindthescenes look at the tour, such as Paul receiving the plaque for more than 2 million tickets sold in Brazil, the moments of concentration before he goes on stage and of course the emotions of the fans watching the Shows packed stadiums in the five capitals.

The musician praised the Brazilians: “It is a beautiful nation. When you go on stage with an audience like that, the feeling is the same as meeting a dear friend on the street that you haven't seen for a long time,” he said.

It's worth remembering that Paul began his Brazil tour in November in Brasília, including a surprise show at the intimate Clube do Choro. With a capacity for just over 300 people, the performance was reminiscent of the days of the Cavern Club, early in the Beatles' career.

The shows of Paul McCartney in Brazil were accompanied by famous personalities such as Milton Nascimento, Lo Borges, Gilberto Gil, Herbert Vianna (Os Paralamas do Successo), Angelica It is Luciano Huck.

Paul in good Portuguese

During the tour, the exBeatle exuded friendliness by daring a few words in Portuguese, which varied depending on the expressions of each region he visited. In São Paulo he greeted his fans with a “Good night, brother?”; in Belo Horizonte he said “uai”; in Curitiba he risked a “What’s wrong, joke?”; In Rio he said: “Ahauhu, Maraca is ours.”
