Paul Rudd opened up about his appearance in the Friends finale during an appearance on The Heart Breakfast Show last week.
The 53-year-old actor spoke about his time on the show and said he found working on the final episode particularly interesting.
The actor, whose canine twin was recently discovered, has appeared as Mike Hannigan in the show’s final two seasons.
Rudd first recalled that unlike the show’s longtime cast, he only appeared on the program for the last two seasons.
“It was a bit surreal I have to say to be a part of it because I ended up being really good,” he said.

The Anchorman actor also expressed that he felt he was interfering in the cast’s final farewell.
He said: “I never knew I would be in so many [episodes] as i was But it also felt strange. I was on that last episode and I was like, “I shouldn’t be here. I’m getting a front row seat to things I’m not supposed to be watching.”
Rudd humorously explained that while the show’s main cast was dissolved due to the show’s conclusion, he didn’t have the same emotional response.
He recalled, “They were all crying, it was all emotional, and I was just like, ‘Woah! “
The performer noted that while he was grateful for his time on Friends, he didn’t feel the way the show’s stars did when the finale aired.
He explained: “I felt very privileged, but I also said, ‘I just don’t know. I just want to sit back here and not get in the way.”
Rudd portrayed Mike Hannigan on the long-running comedy show, in which he made his debut in its ninth season.
The cast member remained with the program until its graduation, which came at the end of its ninth season.

Rudd spoke about his time on the hit show in a recent interview with Variety, where he explained that his presence on the show was purely functional.
He explained, “In something like Friends, the show was about them, but it’s an interesting thing to be a part of. I was only there for a short time. I felt, “I’m like a prop on this show.”
However, the actor expressed that he was glad to have been involved in the project given its cultural significance.
“It’s a very interesting feeling to be a part of something that has such a profound impact on pop culture,” he said.
