Great injustice is being committed against Paulina Rubio and Alejandra Guzmán. Both are usually treated harshly by the press and the public. It’s something common against women, but the way the current relationship between them and their “PERRÍSIMAS Tour” is talked about has taken it to another level.
The Queen of Hearts and The Golden Girl show, to use the nicknames they are known by, is an overflow of talent, magic and excellence. Also of professionalism and seriousness. It seems unbelievable that the development and performance of the two on stage is not praised and they prefer to spend time looking at the videos of their first two shows through a magnifying glass to find an excuse to say that they are still battle.
The worst of these injustices was committed this week after the production announced that the concert on Wednesday, April 20 in the city of Allentown, Pennsylvania, had been suspended. Texts and headlines asserting that Guzmán and Rubio had “fought” again, that they “couldn’t take it,” and so on, exploded with a pathetic whoop. Darkness always sells more.
Less than 24 hours had passed before the real reason became known. Paulina Rubio’s mother, Susana Dosamantes, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A gossip show would come out with the information, preventing them from keeping the illness as private as they would have liked, at least while they digested the news.

Dosamantes and her daughter have a close and seamless relationship. It has been the actress of soap operas such as Corazón Salvaje, Amalia Batista and more recently Si nos dejan who has supported The Golden Girl through the constant ups and downs of her adult life. As a child, she never let him out of her sight when she was part of Timbiriche and then as a soloist.
Susana Dosamantes is the great unconditional love of Paulina Rubio. The constant presence in the life of his children Andrea and Eros. Obviously, the artist would go home at the most difficult time in her mother’s life.

When I saw her in Miami, Guzmán was intense rock and unashamed. Flirtatious, fully in tune and intense with her deep voice, and effervescent with a happiness that she attributed to her renewed exposure to the public, though her fans in the audience hoped that after more than one reconciliation with her only daughter, Frida Sofía, it was three Years of a very conflicted and controversial estrangement.
For her part, Paulina must have been worried. It started out seriously, but the tables and the audience’s affection seemed to have helped her, at least for a few minutes, to open the fist she needed to have in her heart. But despite the fear she must be feeling, The Golden Girl was just that, golden. Sexy, delivered and the essence of pop.
The strategy of making the conflict between them the focus of the show was perfect and helped organize their crossovers on stage, including the final fight between the two, which interspersed the songs “Mío” and “Hey Guera”, who headed for one and the other during their teens and that they were inspired by the love triangle that included Erick Rubin, current husband and father of Mexican presenter Andrea Legarreta’s daughters.

Alejandra Guzmán and Paulina Rubio’s “Perrísimas Tour” concert is so good that hundreds of people left the Hard Rock Live theater, where the Miami took place, singing their favorite songs from the Divas.
There is no greater proof than the injustice committed by those who predicted failures, permanent suspensions and other troubles between these two giants of Latin music. Daughters of outstanding mothers and pride. are they perfect No, like everyone. But their show is and the example they are given of moving forward despite the sadness, using a fight for a man to make money and showing that a woman over 50 is just as beautiful and vital as one in 20, it’s even better.
